WARNING: Be extremly weary of vietnemese people as you cannot trust them, Most of them lie to you as they just want your money. I would recommend to interrogate them when you are signing up for tours as we signed up for trips and didnt do half the things they promised we would do!!! Also each time your purchasing food or anything, be sure to count your change because it is not out of the norm for the locals to try to pull a quick one on you and short change you if your not on your toes. Besides this, I had a good experience here in the country.
You must visit the WAR REMENANTS museum in HO CHI MINH (SAIGON) in south vietnam. it is a reminder of the complete devastation that America left upon this poor beaten country! you do not visit this museum for pleasure more for a real life look at the vietnam war and what people are capable of doing to each other during this terrible time in the world!! There is a WATER PUPPET SHOW also in this city we went to that i would recommend to see! We signed about for a tour to the MEKONG DELTA in Ho Chi Minh and stayed with a vietnemese family and visited the FLOATING MARKETS in the mekong delta; south of Saigon city! worth doing this if you have the time! this is a 2 day trip. In this city also there is a really good water park that you should check out while your there. If you ask any of the hotels or tour desks I'm sure they will be able to point you in the right direction.
NHA TRANG BEACH on the coast is supposed to be lovely and heard great stories about its beauty but didnt go there!
Visit the WAR TUNNELS! there are 2, one near Ho chi Minh called CHU CHI tunnels that are redug and bigger than the real thing! It was redug to allow more tourists to enter and not feel clostraphobic in them. The other is called VINH MOC tunnels! we crawled thru these, there a must see if in vietnam, its on the coast in central vietnam near a city called Hue!
HOI AN is a beautiful city along the coast and my favorite place in vietnam! great restuarants by the river and the best place to get any clothes or suits custom made in vietnam! I'm not 100% certain its still going on but if your in Hoi Ann on a saturday, there is a big beach party at one of the resorts and it is heaps of fun.
HANOI is the biggest city in North Vietnam, if you go walk around the main water/lake area, its really cool and many shops around this area! I didn't get to it but apparently there is a really cool museum in the city and they have preserved Ho Chi Minh's body in a casing so it would definitly be worth a look. North of Hanoi, you can sign up for a 3-4 day mountain trek visiting native hill side tribes that we missed out on but heard is a must do in vietnam!
HALONG BAY is east of Hanoi on the coast and is a 2-3 day sailing trip around the beautiful islands there, it was alot of fun and well worth the 3 hour ride to the coast from hanoi. If you have the time, definitely do it!
My dream is to travel our world and experience all the incredible things it has to offer. By doing so, I hope to gain valuable wisdom, knowledge, and understanding along the way so I can use my experiences to help make our world a better place. There is no way this feat can be accomplished over night, it can only be accomplished one country at a time.

Often while traveling with a camera we arrive just as the sun slips over the horizon of a moment, too late to expose film, only time enough to expose our hearts.
